Brig. Gen. Md. Mahbubul Alam, ndc, psc (Retd) had a distinguished career of 28 years in the Bangladesh Army. He is a former Director-General of Fire Service and Civil Defense of Bangladesh and served as a Security Professional for 12 years in UNDP, Bangladesh. He worked for a leading Group of Industries before joining Sentry Security Services Ltd as the Deputy Managing Director. He was twice elected as “Senior Vice Chairman” of “Retired Armed Forces Officers Welfare Association (RAOWA)” and presently he is an elected member of the Executive Committee of the Cadet College Club Ltd.
Brig. Gen. Md. Mahbubul Alam attended various training courses at home and abroad. He attended an internationally recognized and prestigious National Defense Course in 2003. He attended Army Staff Course in Defense Services Command and Staff College, Mirpur which conferred him ‘psc’ in1986. He attended a field Training Exercise in Pakistan in 1993. General Mahbubul Alam attended a “Peacekeeping Course” in Canada in 1997. In 2004, he attended “Top Managers’ Course on Fire Administration” in Japan. He attended the UN “Security Management Course” in 2008 in Bangladesh and Thailand in 2009.
Brig. Gen Md. Mahabubul Alam is a graduate of Chittagong University and completed his Masters in Defense Studies from the National University of Bangladesh.
Brig Gen Md. Mahabubul Alamis is a widely traveled person who visited 19 countries, including the USA, UK, Japan, Italy, Holland, Bosnia, Croatia, Slovenia, China, Egypt, UAE, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Pakistan, Srilanka, and Nepal.
